Dr. Mohmad Ilham Shiekh is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Islamic Studies at the Centre of Central Asian Studies, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. With over a decade of academic experience, his research primarily focuses on Sufism, Islamic ethics, spirituality and the intersection of religious thought with indigenous knowledge systems. He has published extensively in reputed journals and edited volumes and has contributed chapters on Sufism, Islamic ethics and Spirituality. He remains interested in issues related to education from traditional perspectives of knowledge. In addition to teaching and research, he has been actively involved in organizing academic conferences, curriculum design and mentoring research scholars. His interdisciplinary approach seeks to bridge the gap between classical spiritual heritage and modern educational discourse, with a focus on contextual relevance and transformative learning.
